2008 NFL Preseason “Quick Analysis”
Washington Redskins

Sign Up Click HereThe Redskins hired a head coach to pair with Jason Campbell. The quarterback has struggled playing in drastically changing systems over the years. Jim Zorn will bring a West Coast offense that Campbell used to play with in college, so hopefully he can find some stability after four years in the league.

The schedule is going to pit the Redskins against the difficult AFC Central, so season tickets will find games being fought in low scoring affairs. The Redskins hope that the defense holds like it did last season, and that the pass rush improves so theta the talented secondary does not feel as much pressure.

Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle El give Campbell a pair of playmakers and Clinton Portis is great back for the dump off in the new offense. Seats should be filled very game as the Redskins hope to break through to the next level at FedEx Field.

Some Washington Redskins history: George Preston Marshall founded the Redskins franchise in 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts, as the Boston Braves, sharing Braves Field with the Boston Braves baseball team. A year later, Marshall moved his team to Fenway Park and changed the team's name to the Redskins. The Redskins were not profitable, and even an Eastern Division championship in 1936 failed to excite Boston fans, so in 1937 Marshall moved the club to Washington, D.C.
